Pouya
Pouya performed in Dallas at the House Of Blues to a room full of eager fans. Guests were greeted with hard instrumentals as metal music blared through the venue as fans were awaiting the performances. Being one of the openers, Cursed brought out amazing energy with raw music and flashing lights, which stirred the crowd into a happy rage. There was a mixture of surprise and suspense throughout the crowd with even one attendee saying “Cursed was kind of a wild card. I knew about him from a playlist but I never singled him out to listen to. Actually hearing his music live for the first time was amazing,” also adding later that he would be adding his discography to his rotation.
Freddie Dredd, was a bit more known to the audience through his music on socials, did nothing to slow down the crowd and kept the energy of the night alive. In addition to newer fans, many attendees attended Grey Day 2023, hosted by similar artist $uicide Boy$. Freddie Dredd encouraged fans to pour their energy as his performance continued the ecstatic frenzy of Cursed, who had waves of intense moshing, which was a welcomed addition to Pouya’s show.
Before Pouya came out, many fans were overheard chanting and cheering for over a couple minutes previous. There was a brief intermission for the crowd with Pouya in a deeper voice. Pouya came out with an amazing performance and machine speed lyricism. Having experience in both the photo pit and the crowd, there was not a moment where I did not enjoy myself, and I will certainly be adding more Pouya onto my playlist.
