Khruangbin + Helando Negro

Wednesday was an afternoon of blues. I entered the theater counting myself among the anxious fans and concert goers of all ages. 2025 started with a fresh slate of concerts with Khruangbin being the first.

Helando Negro opened the show, bursting onto the stage with angelic vocals. Being the first act can be a daunting task, especially to a room filled with fans anticipating the headliner. However, after a couple songs people were clapping along with the drums. Support from the crowd intensified throughout the event, with a majority connecting with Helando Negro’s music.

Khruangbin came out with minimal words said, and the strumming instrumentals made the aura of the show go up in fireworks of excitement.Their presence alone was stunning to both I and the crowd. After their first couple of songs, they began with an a cappella soft ballad. The combination of soft music and complimentary stage design made the entire show an unforgettable experience that is sure to wow attendees throughout the rest of their tour.
